Come along with us as we showcase a few brief staff and ambassador reports from hideaway-style places we've experienced recently. In this issue, we focus
on retreats in the Western U.S., each with a family-friendly slant and perfect for summer travel.
. . . Saddle up for an all-inclusive week of incredible fun and bonding at Idaho's Red Horse Mountain Ranch. My girlfriends and I-six in
total-had the time of our lives at this awesome dude ranch, where the emphasis is, of course, on horseback riding, but where there's so much more to do
during your stay. Each of us was assigned our four-hoofed companion the first day, so "Ruger" and I stayed together the whole week. He was perfect for me,
and we enjoyed daily rides on trails that were beautiful, with lots of pine and spruce trees. Guest rooms are mostly in cabins, comfortable but nothing
special, except for the luxurious linens. However, the food was special, mostly buffet but with great variety and delicious at every meal. And the
bacon! Best in the world, and we could eat it without gaining weight because we were so active all day long. Finally, the staff was absolutely amazing-fun
loving, energetic, and always willing to help us learn a new skill, from archery and shooting clays to fly fishing, whitewater rafting, and zip-lining.
They even made a birthday cake for me! All-inclusive rates start at $2,000/week. -Tammy Begley, Hideaways Ambassador
