It's hard to imagine being bored in Costa Rica. Between its lush rainforest, jungle-clad volcanoes, and crashing Pacific surf, this small Central American country packs a powerful adventure punch. There's never a shortage of outdoor diversions here, from zip-lining through the forest canopy to surfing and sea kayaking. There's also no shortage of places where you can put down roots and relax for a few days, whether that's in a private vacation villa or at one of the many eco-friendly resorts that proliferate in this country of exquisite natural beauty. We asked Michael Brown, one of our local villa property management partners, to share some of his favorite places to stay, play, and eat along the Central Pacific Coast--specifically Los Sueños Resort, Jaco Beach, and Manuel Antonio.
