I spent a month with my young son and daughter in Italy this summer, as I often do to visit family and friends, and I have to say it was one of our best summers ever. Like Mr. Malone (see related story, below), I also was struck by how well Americans were treated by the Italians everywhere we went. Rome was buzzing with my fellow citizens; maybe the fact that the Colosseum recently was declared one of the new Seven Wonders of the World enticed even more Americans to visit this gorgeous site in the middle of bustling Rome. Needless to say, the entire city was hopping!
