Over the past few years, and after several visits, China has become my passion. I really began to appreciate its diversity this past spring semester of my senior year in college, while studying Chinese at Fudan University in Shanghai. Not only did I get to celebrate Chinese New Year with millions of locals and visit the Shanghai Expo, I also got to venture out of the city into places most American tourists might not even know about, for a taste of "real" China.
