Not to imply you need an excuse to visit one of America's top travel destinations, but Hideaways Founder Mike Thiel traveled to New York City recently to celebrate the Empire State Building's 75th anniversary. After a visit to the "lighthouse of Manhattan," you'll be aching for more top-of-the-world views during the rest of your vacation in the Big Apple.
Luckily, Mike checked out a few hotels that are view worthy. This first luxury hotel, with its floor-to-ceiling glass walls and sunken lobby lounge, soothes that need for a view the moment you step onto the 35th-floor reception area. You might be in the middle of a concrete forest, but just about everywhere you go, this hotel is bathed in natural light, from your relatively large guest room accommodations to the 75-foot indoor lap pool. If you're more interested in exploring New York up close and personal, stay at this ultra-modern hotel within walking distance of Times Square, the Theater District, Fifth Avenue, and Central Park. Read on to discover five other hotels you might sample on your Big Apple vacation.
