Silversea Cruise Lines launched a trendsetter in 1994 when its luxury
ship Silver Cloud slid into the competitive seas of the cruise
world. Seventy percent of her suites featured verandahs, drinks were free,
tipping verbotten, and the ambiance casual yet elegant. She received kudos for
show-stopping entertainment, a feature often reserved for larger ships. She and
sister ship Silver Wind instantly achieved high marks and
continue to do so, earning "World's Best Small Ship Cruise Line" from
Conde Nast Traveler for three years straight.
The ambiance aboard these twin ships is relaxed and unpretentious, yet
elegant in every regard. Although one of the priciest cruises you'll find, its
