Maybe the back of your neck won't get dirty and gritty, but summer in New York City can be hot-in all the right ways. Yes, it might be sticky and
muggy. But it's also a "hot and happening" place for music festivals like the New York Philharmonics' free "Concerts in the Parks" series, theater events
like "Shakespeare in the Park" (that's Central Park), fun sidewalk art sales and gallery events, Summer Restaurant Week (in July), and just about every
other type of summer festival you can imagine.
