Some travelers like to have every day planned out on vacation, while others like to go with the flow. Hideaways Member Roger Howard and his three traveling companions practiced "Rural Wandering" on their vacation to the U.K., visiting off-the-beaten-path destinations with an open agenda. This flexible group learned that even though London is a top travel destination, you can still find some off-the-beaten-path museums and sites to explore. Anxious to get out of the city, the group headed to the countryside to their "home base" vacation rental in the middle of a 350-acre working farm. Get some essential tips on how to navigate through these old cities and really get to know the locals. "Rural Wandering" might not be for everyone, but it?s a great way to get a feel for a country?s geography, history, and people.
