C2 Hotel

Design is of paramount importance at C2, truly its reason d'être. Even the hotel's name is inspired by the initials of its architect founders, Claire Fatosme and Christian Lefevre, who transformed an exquisite late-1800s home in central Marseille into a showcase of art, design, and culture that reflects modern achievements. Opened in 2014, the hotel has 20 rooms on five floors. Each landing has a small collection of museum-quality chairs by such famed designers as Frank Lloyd Wright and Hungarian-born Marcel Breuer, all celebrating the turn-of-the-20^th-century modernist movement. Inside, guest rooms are light and spacious with tasteful and subdued decor, and with a few carefully chosen furnishings from trending, au courant designers. High ceilings, elaborate lighting, and surprising touches like exposed brick walls create highly livable spaces that also hold small treasures of intriguing design: a molded red chair here, a whimsical chandelier there.
