Barcelona is a popular starting and ending point for a cruise on the Mediterranean. That was reason enough for Hideaways Member Bill Giles and his wife to spend a few nights in (and around) this fascinating city. With a few tips from Hideaways, this cruising couple planned a mini-vacation complete with breathtaking accommodations, fine Spanish dining, and non-stop touring. If you're looking to travel to Spain for a little R&R and a retreat away from it all, then this top-notch hotel is for you. Keep an eye on the city while perched on the peak of Mt. Tibidabo, with dazzling views of Barcelona and the Mediterranean below. Relaxing is easy in your spacious Japanese Suite with a private rooftop Zen garden and an inside "window" overlooking the Zen Zone Spa's infinity pool. For those of you who want to vacation in the heart of it all and dance into the wee hours of the night, stay at this second hotel. Within blocks of some of the best shopping and sightseeing in the city, it also features a fabulous rooftop terrace that turns into a happening club when the sun goes down.
