Hiding Away in Ireland |

Ireland offers a wide array of lodging options from ultra-modern hotels in its larger cities to quaint B&Bs, both in the countryside and in city centers. Quality varies greatly as does ambiance. This in no way is a comprehensive review of lodging options; rather, it is a somewhat selective review of places that we have inspected or experienced, most of which we would recommend, depending on your needs, tastes and budget. Most of the properties on this list have something special that caused us to check them out and write about them. In some cases we have reviewed properties that we are not particularly partial to, but which are likely to be on your "to consider" list when planning a visit to the Emerald Isle, because they are relatively well known. In these, as in all our reviews, we tell it like we see it, so that you can decide for yourself whether what is important to us matters to you.
