MAY
THE CANYONLANDS OF THE AMERICAN WEST
Fly in and out of Las Vegas and then rent a car for a grand circuit of the spectacular scenery of Nevada, Arizona, and Utah. Allow at least a week and possibly ten days to explore the ruins of the ancient Anasazi in this high-desert and canyon country, stopping along the way at Bryce Canyon and Zion National Park in Utah, the Grand Canyon and Sedona's red-rock country in Northern Arizona, and the Red Rock National Conservation Area just outside Vegas. Go in early May, when the snowbirds have flown home and temps can be 10-15 degrees cooler than later in the month.
