The food was good to very good. The service was excellent. The ship itself was very special and with the passing of each day there was another reason discovered that made the ship seem more beautiful, elegant, unique and special. Air France went on strike the day of our departure. Our flight from Paris to Rome was cancelled and we were put on a later flight. When Star Clipper realized we would miss our connection to the ship they sent us a private car and driver to make sure we would arrive (without hassles) on time to board our ship. Though the rooms were very small the deck space seemed to be more generous then on traditional "cruise ships". There were times our small group (10) of newly acquired friends had all the room we needed and then some. The service in the dining area was excellent. I also enjoyed being able to have random sitting as well as being able to reserve dinner for 10 people any time we wanted.The quality of Hideaways' description of the property is: OverstatedDoes this member recommend the property? After cruising several other lines, Star Clipper is by far our favorite. Ammenities were lovely, crew knowledgable, charming, and helpful! Visited tiny, tucked-away parts unreachable by other ships. 5 star in our opinion! We will only sail with the Star Clipper line in the future. Looking forward to the far east next year.
