Its elegant 1920s art deco style makes it a perfect place to entertain during The Championships. With is superb ambience, this luxurious restaurant allows you to relax from the moment you walk in the door. Situated in a prime location opposite the main gate, it ensures that there is only a short stroll to your seats guaranteeing that you catch all the day's action.
Where We Sleep . . .
The Goring Hotel

This brick newcomer next to Buckingham Palace opened in 1910, and was the last hotel to be built during King Edward VII's reign. Run by four generations of Gorings, it has decor that blends classical European with English country house eccentricities: The dining room has Swarovski-crystal chandeliers and serves British cuisine. A quiet haven in the center of London, The Goring is ideally located, adjacent to Buckingham Palace and within walking distance of the Royal parks, London's principal shopping areas and the heart of the West End and Theatreland.

The hotel is perfectly located to wander through Mayfair, Regent Street, and Jermyn Street for some shopping. Trafalgar Square and the National Gallery are just around the corner, the London Eye and the Tate Modern a short walk away, and the superb array of West End theatre is literally at your doorstep.

Consider stretching your legs on a leisurely art and architecture walk, starting with a visit to the Sir John Soane Museum, an amazing, visually rich 19th century art collection, continuing on via Somerset House, home of the renowned Courtauld Institute, and finishing at the provocative Saatchi Gallery. Afterwards if you are keen to see more you may catch the Tate catamaran (covered in polka dots by Damien Hirst) for a leisurely cruise up the Thames, ending at the Tate Modern, for a stroll through the Tate collection. If the jet lag sets in you may prefer to simply relax with a book or enjoy a massage at the hotel. This evening, we highly recommend Fifteen, the restaurant of Jamie Oliver (of "Naked Chef" fame) and one of our favourites. It is tough to beat for its creative tasting menu matched with flights of wines in the restaurant's cellar.
