Comments:
Spice Island Resort was quite nice, but not exceptional in any way. Their exercise room is a dump, no massages or spa services and the food was o.k., but not fabulous. It was a fine vacation, we had privacy and wonderful access to the beach. The beach is public and as a result, vendors constantly approached us which really got to be annoying.

Comments:
Grande Anse Beach itself, one of the most beautiful in the Caribbean, as far as we know. Even the steady stream of hawkers is fun; most are friendly, low-pressure sellers, and they're usually home-crafted products. The Spice Island Beach Resort is a gracious place with a well-trained, exceptionally large staff. The Spice Island beachfront is much less trafficked than most other hotels. One disadvantage, if you like dining variety, is the meal plan, which in effect prevents you from taking dinner anywhere else. Its Creole-style food and is very good, but over a ten day stay can seem a bit monotonous. Spice Islands location is surely the best on Grenada. A disappointment; for "dry season" it was often rainy, with cool winds.
