Comments:
This was one of the most amazing places! The setting was outstanding, the service was top-notch, and it was so secluded. I have been back for two weeks and have not stopped talking about it. Our Hideaways Travel Specialist was fantastic. She was timely, friendly, and knowledgeable!

Comments:
We went to the Turtle Inn for our 25th anniversary. The resort was beautiful. We enjoyed the tranquility and the decor of the resort. Our villa was wonderfulas as was the triangle shaped pool at the rear of the resort. We especially liked the outdoor shower.

The complimentary massage was a nice perk.

Our service was excellent although when you are trying to have a private moment, you will get a voice coming through on the "shell phone" asking if you are going to eat, etc. The staff would also knock on the door to see if you are ok. A little more privacy would be nice.

Please note that the food in the restaurant is not great and that a drive into Placencia for eats is not much better. Try the grill. It is the best food in the restaurant.

Also, if you are looking for beach, forget Belize. It is full of sand fleas. You cannot lay on the beach, sit or walk outside on the sand without getting bitten!!! Be sure to have plenty of the wintergreen alchohal with you. It helps with the bites.

The staff was very nice and attentive, but it did not make up for the lack of good food and good beach.

Comments:
Beautiful property and accommodations in a developing area. Friendly, helpful, knowledgable staff and guides. Good in-house restaurant. Limited choice of restaurants in nearby town.

Staff played loud music at pool/beach to amuse themselves, the noise bothered the guests. Kudos for a staff member: Manager.

Both Turtle Inn and Blancaneaux are superb properties. Warm, expert service. Spectacular views. Lots of activities. Great for both couples and families. Kudos to: Katrina, the concierge at Turtle Inn, was very helpful and warm and wonderful.

In spite of torrential downpours almost the entire time we were there, it was a wonderful, relaxing vacation! We will go back! Disappointing dinners, no imagination. Kudos to: Annie was wonderful!

Very luxurious and tropical - only complaint is lack of A.C. - very sticky in rooms without it. Kudos to: Carina (Concierge).

Two five star resorts in a third world country couldn't be better!! What a way to experience the best of Belize!

Comments:
Our location was idyllic - 10' from the Caribbean. The weather was not quite as expected - we went off property for a sailing/snorkeling trip in addition to regularly offered boat/snorkel.

Rooms were wonderful, setting very nice, location difficult to get to because of 20 miles of dirt road, food average. Pushing Italian food in that location is problematic, Copolla should expand his wine list to include other wineries besides his own.

The beach should not be considered as such: thick and too much algae. It should advertise "specially" for US citizens with pool and happy hours! Kudos to: KARINA - made an effort but with few alternatives

Units have no A/C - We did not know that until check-in. Beach Front units not available at check-in - would have reserved one earlier if knew about lack of A/C in rooms.

Excellent resort! Great service, beautiful setting, and really good food. The day tours we took were fun, educational, and well organized. Book an oceanfront or oceanview cottage or villa - it's worth it to get the breeze at night.

Comments:
Great resort. Great staff. Beach Captains, in particular, were great. Also, the food is fantastic. Feel a bit nickled and dimed, however - (e.g. $ for internet, wine list is pricey, etc...). Kudos to: Jason, Xavier, and Randy - the beach captains.
