We inspected just a few of the villas offered by our new rental partners in Greece and came away with two impressions. First, the homes vary widely in settings, styles, and amenities. Second, the simplicity of island life is reflected in some of the villas we saw; by American standards, furnishings often seemed Spartan.

That's not to say you won't find chic, elegant villas. One stunner, on a craggy Mykonos hilltop, was exquisite, and the homes at Villas Santa Marina were airy, spacious, and beautifully decorated. Villas such as these will have private pools and will not be inexpensive.
