Mexico City: A Sleeper Destination
Mexico's capital is one for the "better-with-age" category, according to Hideaways staff members and our insider source, Karen Weiner Escalera. Over the past decade, Mexico City has embarked on an ambitious crusade to improve air quality, reduce crime, and enhance two of the city's major tourism corridors. If you haven't visited recently, you'll notice changes like renovated streets and plazas, new gardens, and more streetlights in pedestrian areas.
