Tying the Knot in Mexico

Although the Caribbean is the number one venue for destination weddings, Mexico is a very popular runner-up. Many people choose to get married in Mexico because of its stunning beauty and its more reasonable price tag.

Here are some things to remember when planning a wedding in Mexico.

• You can have a religious ceremony, but it isn't considered official—only civil ceremonies are recognized in Mexico.
• You must have tourist cards and/or a visa plus a passport. There is no residency requirement.
