Endless outdoor space, phenomenal volcanic views, cool cavernous interiors--welcome to Santorini at its sexiest. Once a working winery, this villa has been transformed into the perfect sophisticated party house, great for family get-togethers or small wedding parties. Spread over two floors, the property is vast, and has plenty of intimate nooks and crannies. The lounging area is downstairs, with curved stairs leading up to the dining room and kitchen. The subtle hue of white throughout is accessorised by woven rugs, hand-painted scatter cushions and locally commissioned earthenware - keeping the atmosphere Zen, but authentic. The four air-conditioned double bedrooms are all unique and tranquil. Two of the rooms are detached from the main house, with French doors opening onto the courtyard. Needless to say, all bedrooms have gorgeous en-suite bathrooms with curved walls. Indoor and outdoor living fuse seamlessly together here. There are several sun-drenched terraces with knockout views and an outdoor heated Jacuzzi to dip in. The medieval village of Pyrgos is a secret gem, blissfully untapped by the majority of tourists. |
