Hideaways' Review |
Lough Inagh Lodge is a charming, romantic country house hotel set snugly in the aptly named Recess of Connemara. By no means a small house, Lough Inagh Lodge is yet dwarfed by the magnificant scale of the stunning Connemara landscape surrounding it.
With such a peaceful setting in a quiet valley with a lake in front and a mountain behind, Lough Inagh Lodge is ideal for a romantic break in Galway. It is the perfect hideaway in the country, and offers fishing, hill walking, cycling and golf nearby.
Guest rooms are luxurious and tastefully appointed, five of which are furnished to deluxe standards. Rooms have spectacular views of Lough Inagh and The Twelve Bens Mountains.
Originally a fishing lodge, the hotel echoes that tradition in its superb menus based on Connemara lamb, fish and seafood.
Fishing is of course a primary reason to stay at Lough Inagh Lodge. The Lough Inagh and Derryclare Fishery provides a wonderful fishing holiday in the West of Ireland.
Lough Inagh is also perfect for a walking and hiking break in Connemara - the hotel provides an excellent guide-book of recommended nearby walks.
Just a short drive from Lough Inagh Lodge is the beautiful Kylemore Abbey & Victorian Walled Garden. |
